If I was perceived to be out of line for this forum, I apologize. I enjoy these kind of debates. So no problem here. I still think you're Jmac, but if not, welcome!

Not entirely. Since I was not there, I cannot make a rational judgement over who was wrong and who was right. I can only go by what I saw. And there is not enough evidence to persuade me that the passenger was acting irrationally. But there's no evidence to show that the TSA agent was, either, right? I mean, since we didn't see what happened before the video, we can't rule out the possibility that she walked up to him and made a threat...right? You are correct. Without knowing the entire situation, I cannot make a rational case either way.

eh, wouldn't say that just reminiscent of some little pricks that have come around only trying to cause trouble. I can appreciate that. I would never try to cause any discourse that was not, at first, warranted.

if necessary. This is where the agent made a wrong turn. Instead of just thinking to himself, "What a little twat!" and letting her onto the plane, he decided to be a dick when it was totally unnecessary. If this is how the guy handles someone simply being a pain in the ass, he needs to find a different job, because he does not have the temperment for this one. How will he maintain a cool and clear head in a more serious situation if he can't even handle this woman without losing his cool? But dude, don't you see a problem with that? "It's okay to be a jerk, because the person in charge isn't allowed to do anything about it." That's like kids who decide to be jerks to the school janitor, because they know that he can't do anything back to them. Personally, i think that is a big part of what is wrong with society. We basically endorse and encourage people to act like idiots, simply because it's "Within their rights". Maybe, if as a society, we stopped tolerating everyone who wanted to act like a jerk, and started telling them "If you want to act like an asshole, whoever your dealing with will be well within their rights to make your day shitty in response"...then maybe people would get the hint, that it's NOT okay to be like that. I guess because of my job and the assholes I have to deal with, I just have no patience with someone who holds a job that involves dealing with jerks who doesn't seem to be able to deal with jerks very well. What in the hell was the harm, since the "threat" of the liquid was gone, in just rolling his eyes and telling her to get on the plane? When you have a job that involves dealing with jerks, you either learn to let unnecessary confrontations go by, or you end up being a miserable (and eventually unemployed) person.

From what I've read from you in the past, it sounds like you have one of the truly most difficult jobs to have, and probably the patience of a saint. So I can respect that, coming from where you're coming from.
