This story about pit bulls was over the freakin' top though. Seriously, we got off topic but these dogs killed a chick! From what it says in the story, the cause of death isn't yet known. And the woman had medical issues. Could end up being she died from something else and the dogs were guarding her body, which many breeds will do naturally with their master.

***UPDATE***
Investigators believe a Jefferson County woman's death was caused when her own pets attacked.
Authorities say the animals turned on one of their owners, 45-year-old Deborah Renee Wilson, on NCTR Road near U.S. 365.
Major Lafayette Woods Jr. said it was in that home that he saw a first in his eight year career.
"It was a gruesome scene. There was a substantial amount of blood at the scene, also damage to the body that we believe came as a result of the dogs attacking," he said.
Wilson is believed to have been attacked by two pit bulls in a home she shared with her husband, according to police.
The man who claimed to be her husband came home after visiting a neighbor's house and found the animals tearing into Wilson's body, that's when he called 911.
"He attempted to render aid to her and was prevented from getting in the home, they turned on him," Woods Jr. added.
Authorities say no foul play appears to be involved, but they did learn one startling thing during their investigation.
"It is our understanding from talking to him that she was attacked sometime ago by the same animals," Woods Jr. continued.
"As a result of it (she was) actually taken to the ER. We're not sure how substantial her damage was or her injuries were at that time, but we did learn from him that these dogs have attacked her in the past."
Animal control officers from Pine Bluff responded to the call and tried to catch both animals.
One was killed on the scene after continuing its wild act, but the other was caught and is now in custody of animal control
There is no vicious animal ordinance in Jefferson County, and says it will look into whether to pursue charges going forward after an official cause of death is determined.

LOL "protecting her body". that's a good one!! "Woods said the initial investigation did not indicate that foul play was involved and the male at the house told deputies that Wilson had “medical issues.”
Kelley said the body was sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiners Office at Little Rock Saturday for an autopsy to determine “cause and manner of death.”
“We’re going to continue looking into the incident and wait on the medical examiner’s ruling in this case,” Woods said."THAT is what I was basing my comment on yesterday. Then more information came out today, that the cause of death in fact was the dog attack. Also new information that came out about the story today was that these dogs had attacked the lady once before, causing her to seek treatment at an ER. I'm not sure what more it would take for her to know that something was wrong with the dogs and to not have them around. I don't know, maybe they were rescue dogs from as fighting operation, which is a dangerous game to play because they have already been trained to be dangerous. Perhaps even more information will still come out about the story. But they are not inherently dangerous. The attacks they are involved in just get more attention. Just like Rotweillers in the 90's and Dobermans in the 80's. Also, Ashley, can you post the link to the original story where you saw this? I tried googling it and dogbite.org is all over it like stink on pit shit, and I wanted to read the original story and updates without the bias of an organization founded by a woman who was bitten by a pit bull and then proceeded to form an organization seeking to basically eliminate the breed. I couldn't find any story that they hadn't taken and added their two cents to it.
