The TSA Detained a Woman . . . Because They Didn't Like Her Attitude? A new TSA video has some people upset, because it shows a TSA agent admitting he won't let a woman on her flight . . . because he doesn't like her ATTITUDE. --According to the woman, she'd already been through security. And when an agent asked to test the water she was drinking, she chugged it instead. --So, apparently the TSA is testing drinks INSIDE the airport now. Just last week, a video made the rounds online of TSA agents in Columbus, Ohio testing people's drinks AFTER they'd gone through security.

Airport security has gotten ridiculous. And pointless. All because of a group of aholes who got onto planes with box cutters. Now we are harassing everyone.

Personally, I find this hilarious.
Look...everybody has to go through the lines at the airport. Just because you have some stupid idea, that "You know your rights" and don't like the TSA, doesn't make you special. You have to do it just like everyone else. Don't like it? DON'T FLY. DRIVE!!!!
If I were a judge, and this came in front of me, I would laugh the woman out of court, and give the TSA a high five.

I believe she was already inside the perimeter of security waiting on her plane when this happened. So I guess TSA doesn't trust the stuff the vendors are selling inside the terminal?

It sounds to me, like they are employing 'Layers' of security. They know that the agents checking people initially, might miss something, seeing as how they are human and all, and humans make mistakes. So they have a second layer of security, to try and catch things that may have slipped through the cracks.

So what you are saying is that if you still buy it withing the perimeter it should still be subject to scrutiny?

So what you are saying is that if you still buy it withing the perimeter it should still be subject to scrutiny? Yep. It's not something I would have come up with. But I'm not a security expert, and i'm not privy to the intel that TSA has on terrorist techniques. I can see, how someone could slip a chemical past the checkpoint, and then buy a drink to mix it with, in order to turn it into an explosive reacting chemical combination.

I think what most people forget, is that nobody has the RIGHT to fly on an airline. They are a private business. If you want to use their services, you have to abide by their rules.

You are right on except that the rules are put in place by the government not the private company. The same plane that goes to another country has to abide by the other countries rules when it is in their airspace.

I had to pull over to laugh when the guy called in today talking about how this would infringe on his FOURTH AMENDMENT RIGHTS.
Another tazing victim in waiting.

You do have rights. But those rights have nothing to do with getting on an airplane. If you don't like the rules, drive yourself. But if you want to be able to use the convenience of air travel, then there are some rules you're going to have to follow. That's not that hard to understand, right?

Where does it say that some TSA agent has the right to be a dick?

Where does it say that some TSA agent has the right to be a dick? When you buy a ticket, for an airline trip...it says on th ticket, that by purchasing said ticket, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set forth by the airline, and the TSA. You don't get to show up at the airport, and all of a sudden have the rules changed, just for you, because you don't like them. If the passenger gets to be an asshole, why would it not be okay for the TSA agent to respond in kind?
